After having returned from a pretty long stay in the US it is quite natural to suffer fromclaustrophobia. Well I was aware of that and did cope with it well initially. Thankfully we have a large house with a seperate room for each of us siblings. That too helped me a lot.

After spending a few weeks at home it was back to destination IT. I bid goodbye to my wonderfulfamily and was off to Bangalore for a couple of days. That visit just terrified me. There were people everywhere in the city. There is no dearth of people, vehicles, beggars and animals in that city. It was pathetic. Add a generous amount of filth and the combination becomes UGLY.Why cant we Indians learn to NOT THROW thrash around I still fail to understand. I even found the ever proud "techies" throw rubbish everywhere. When will they learn ?? I was truly aghast and had started to develop a deep hatred towards India and its populace.

After Bangalore it was destination Chennai. This is the filthiest city I have seen till date. For the population here the city streets are a dumpyard. When it rains there is gutter water everywhere. The stench and filth is unbeleivable. There is a basic sense of uncleanliness in the junta here. Its a pity that Chennaites are still crazy about those vulgar songs and dance. When will this public mature ?I have a good number of Tamil friends who wonder aloud as to why this obsession to loud music and gyrating dance just continues. Another disadvantage of this disgusting film industry are the NUMEROUS film posters which are stuck all around the city's walls. It is SICK. The traffic sense is pathetic. People more than likely will be driving their vehicle on the wrong side of the yellow line. I was driving with my manager one day and VOILA, he too did the same. The explaination...."this is Chennai dude".Its not that I dont like Tamilians. I know that TN has given India NUMEROUS leaders, intellects and visionaries. It is often considered as a knowledge hub of India. But all, rather MOST of these esteemed citizens have moved out ofTN. Why is it that only these immature public stay in this place? They are making this place a rotting hell. I am sure there is some reason for it which I cannot decipher.

No wonder Pune has been voted as the happiest city in India. Though the roads of Pune have a lot to be desired. One thing I have noticed in India is that whenever the mighty IT (good rhyme!) has entered a city, it gets transformed into a monster with high prices, high crime rate, and horrendous infrastruture. It will not take long before Pune gets turned into a Bangalore which was on the verge of an explosion until the IT bigwigs threatened the govt. Its high time for Pune to learn from Bangalore.

I hope this blog does not reflect on me as a biased person. I am just mentioning the facts which I have seen with my own eyes. I strongly feel about it. These are my personal thoughts and not meant to insult any community. I just want India to learn and be proactive in making this place a better place to live in.
